  • Stock markets in advanced economies closed the trading session with no major changes. The Ibex 35 and the PSI 20 nudged up, while the Italian FTSE MIB declined 0.7%. The Shanghai Index recovered partly from the losses registered in the previous days and advanced 1.8%.
  • Yields on long-term sovereign bonds edged down in Europe and in the U.S. In FX markets, the euro depreciated to $1.15, reaching a 1-year low, and the Turkish lira continued depreciating amid diplomatic tensions with the U.S.
  • In commodity markets, the barrel of Brent fluctuated within the $72-$73 interval.
  • Today, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the July CPI figures.
